Built for direct communication

Useful privacy, without impossible promises.

ComX protects message content while clearly separating content privacy from the metadata needed to operate the service.

◇

Encrypted messages

Text is encrypted on the sender's device and decrypted by the intended recipient.

▣

Encrypted attachments

New-format photos and files are encrypted locally before upload. The server stores opaque ciphertext blobs.

◌

Audio calls

One-to-one WebRTC audio with mute, speaker and call controls. ComX does not provide video calling.

⌁

Works through interruptions

Pending text messages remain local and retry after the ComX connection returns.

⌘

Contact controls

Add contacts by QR, verify identity, block unwanted users and explicitly report abuse.

⌾

Recovery and revocation

A Recovery Key can help regain account control and revoke a lost device. It cannot recover old message history.

Know the boundary

Content protection is not metadata anonymity.

What ComX protects

Message plaintext, new attachment content and attachment keys remain protected by device-side encryption in the supported current format.

What the service still processes

Account and device relationships, contacts, participants, times, sizes, IP/network information, notification routing and call signaling metadata.

Account control

Deletion includes a 24-hour safety window.

A verified in-app request immediately suspends account activity. It can be cancelled with cryptographic device reauthentication for exactly 24 hours. ComX cannot remotely erase copies already held on recipients' devices.
